i believe aware is an adjective, used to describe a noun.

i.e. Are you aware..

I.e I wasn't aware ..

jump is a verb, it describes an action. actions can be past tense or present but do describe the past tense of aware there is no conjugation really you have to set it up in the context of the sentence.

If you want to use a word that does give past tense you could say.....Unbeknownst
