In Hawaiian the word maikai (pretty) can also be used for the word good or fine.

So you can say the lady (wahine) is maikai. Or, maikai wahine (pretty woman)

Maikaʻi means good. It does not mean pretty. The word for pretty is uʻi. Pretty lady would be Wahine uʻi. Lovely lady would be Wahine nohea or Wahine onaona.
