How courageous are the Filipinos?

Filipinos are friendly by nature but in certain times where the freedom of the country is at stake, they showed their courageousness instead. These are some of the incidents where the Filipinos showed their courageousness:

1. Andres Bonifacio, the hero of the Philippine Revolution and a fierce supporter of the Filipino freedom founded the Katipunan, a revolutionary group who fought with the Spaniards.

2. Jose Rizal, the Philippine National Hero fought against the Spaniards through his writings like the Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo.

3. Other Filipino heroes like Gregorio del Pilar, Diego Silang, Gabriela Silang and many others also fought for the Filipino freedom.

4. The bloodless Edsa I Revolution or the People Power Revolution of 1986 ousted the Dictatorship of former Pres. Ferdinand Marcos for 30 years and drove them to an exile in Hawaii.

5. Former President Joseph Estrada was convicted and was put into house arrest after the members of the Senate who acted as the Impeachment Court courageously took a stand for the betterment of the country.

6. Former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo is now under hospital arrest for electoral fraud.

7. Once again, the senators who acted as the impeachment court, courageously ousted Ex-Chief Justice Renato Corona when found guilty of Article II of the Articles of Impeachment for not disclosing to the public his statement of assets, liabilities and net worth.

The above instances are only some of the courageous act the Filipinos have done so far not to mention the little courageous things that they did and still doing to others.
