Added: If you own a firearm - arm yourself and announce the fact to the intruder. If they try to break in and attack you - use it! That's what your rights under the Second Amendment are all about - self protection.
If confronted by a murderer breaking into your house, your priority should be to protect yourself and your loved ones. Call 911 immediately, find a safe place to hide or escape if possible, and try to stay calm and quiet to avoid alerting the intruder to your presence. Remember that your safety is the top priority in such a situation.
There's no fun answer to this one - it can be life or death. So call the police first, and give the location and the danger clearly, if possible. If there is a weapon like a loaded gun to hand, take care NOT to threaten an intruder with it. It is better to shoot to injure immediately if there is no other defensive option. Avoiding danger is an even better option: stuff is only stuff: but a life is a life.
1: If the burglar is in the process of breaking in,, then either find a place to hide and let the bastard take your stuff and leave, or grab a knive/something sharp and find a place to ambush.
2: If the person is inside your house and he finds you) then you can try to reason with the person (give your stuff away, sexual favors, bribe), or pray that he is a peaceful burglar and won't kill or injure you.
3: If he has a gun you are screwed, either he is taking your stuff or your life or both. If he has a knife you will have a chance if you decide to fight back at least it is somewhat even. All of this can be avoided if you have a gun though, and loaded (obviously with proper training, which doesn't take long).
Worst case scenario with you having a gun is that it might turn into a shoot out if he has one as well, but a gun at least gives all three options to choose from instead of just one, and can level the playing field (surprised, being alone and defenseless, vs. surprised and being alone).
Seriously, buy a gun if you are worried.
A European perspective:
If you are at home when an intruder breaks in, the chances are that you will be in bed. Everyone has a phone, so if you can do so quietly, call the police. Otherwise, unless you have the strength/ability/confidence to repel the burglar(s), do nothing else. Your life is worth more than your Blu Ray player.
If you contemplate an ambush, consider:
(i) He (they) will be more prepared for a fight than you.
(ii) He (they) may be more willing and capable to inflict harm than you.
(iii) He (they) may go on to attack any family members in the house.
If you do choose to use fight back, remember that you can use only reasonable force. If you use excessive force, you will be open to prosecution; and if you subsequently chase and injure the fleeing criminal, you will be open to prosecution as you will no longer be acting in self-defence.
Do, if you happen to meet the intruder, try to remember what they look like or sound like, so that you can describe them to the police. If they leave by car, take the vehicle's number and description.
While Americans stubbornly cling to their right to bear arms, in Europe it is very difficult to lawfully possess a firearm. Whatever, you should understand that if you use a gun or other weapon, you stand a MUCH higher chance of getting killed or badly injured. To repeat: Your life is worth more than your Blu Ray player.
Seriously, DO NOT BUY A GUN! Invest in good locks and a burglar alarm.
It would be best to attempt to leave without being seen or stopped. If that seems impossible, it would be best to call your local police, using 911 or your local equivalent. If that seems impossible, and you are armed, it would be best to kill the intruder. If that seems impossible, as you are not armed, or don't trust making the shot correctly, then it would be best to remain in place quiet, and hope he doesn't see you.
If that fails, try bluffing - "I've called the police, and told them who you are!" (Your question assumes that you know the intruder, or you'd not know him to be a "murderer".)
If that fails, the offering of bribes might work - "I can get you large sums of money from..."
If that fails, and you are a woman, seduction may be a possibility.
And when all else fails, begging, pleading and crying about "children" can't hurt.
Thomas O'Donnell, a convicted murderer, died in prison due to natural causes. There were no reports of foul play or suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.
He is a murderer that killed a mother of 3 young children. Just google Jeremy Hart in Maine and you can read all about it. He got away with manslaughter because the State of Maine was too lazy to prosucute. He is a murderer that killed a mother of 3 young children. The new evidence presented in court helped to exonerate the wrongly accused suspect.
If a slave breaks the law, they would likely face punishment from their owner, which can vary depending on the severity of the offense. In some cases, the owner may choose to sell the slave or impose physical punishment.
The lower house is usually the House of Representatives. When a bill is first introduced, read by everyone in the house and placed on the agenda for the next session, the bill is then debated, scrutinized and requesting for amendments in the lower house. When the bill is accepted through the House of Representatives (lower house), the bill is then passed on to the upper house (Senate House) and further debated upon. If the majority of seats in the Senate House belongs to the Government Party, the bill can be easily passed through. If the majority of seats belongs to the Opposition, the passing of the bill might get complicated. The debating of passing the bill is pursued and voted upon. If the bill needs amendments, it'll be passed back to the lower house and the entire process is repeated until the bill is passed to both the houses (bicameral legislature) Easy to say, the lower house is where the Prime Minister lives and where most the heat begins, and the upper house has the authority to refuse the bill and knock it back.
It represents dramatic irony; the audience knows that Oedipus himself is the murderer, but Oedipus does not.
There was a domestic murderer in my house.
call the cops!
yes it is.. unless a murderer is in your house..... its okay to be single.... idrk
The House detective, "Dad" Newell, was the murderer.
The best thing to do is try and hide and call the police. if you shoot the person you will have that thought for the rest of your life. also if you shoot someone you are immediatly classed as a murderer. If you're asking if it is legal, it depends on the circumstances and the state laws where you live.
NO!
he had an axe in his hands
That happened to me too when I was 12. I asked my parents to turn on the light in the hallway, so I knew that they were with me. It is more common that you think, so don´t worry!
A murderer
No, she was not a murderer.
Are you actually asking about an AXE-murderer? There is no such thing as an "ex-murderer." Once you have been found guilty of murdering someone you can ALWAYS be a referred to as a "murderer."
