Apparently yes it is, my daughter was arrested with less than half a joint in her possession and she was strip searched, in the state of Indiana.. I was irate that this had happened and questioned the supervisor at the detention center who informed me that they are required to strip search (which is not the same as a body cavity search) anyone minor who is brought in on any type of drug or weapon charge among other things.. he said at one point he was required to strip search a 7 year old... i am completely outraged by this procedure.
In general, strip searches of juveniles must be conducted with caution and only under specific circumstances, such as if there is reasonable suspicion that the juvenile is concealing a weapon or contraband. The search should be done in a private setting by a same-sex officer and with another adult present if possible, and must be done in a way that respects the dignity of the individual. Restrictions on strip searches for juveniles may vary by jurisdiction, so it is important to consult local laws and regulations.
Typically, parents or legal guardians are held responsible for damages caused by a juvenile. They may be required to pay for damages or compensate the affected party. In some cases, the juvenile themselves may be held responsible, depending on the circumstances and the laws in the jurisdiction.
The "big three" juvenile cases in juvenile justice are Kent v. United States, In re Gault, and In re Winship. These landmark cases established important legal rights and protections for juveniles involved in the justice system, such as the right to due process, the right to counsel, and the standard of proof beyond a reasonable doubt.
If the person giving permission to search the car is not the owner or authorized to give consent, then the search could be considered illegal and any evidence obtained may not be admissible in court. It is important for law enforcement to obtain consent from the legal owner of the vehicle or have a valid search warrant to conduct a search.
In North Carolina, a juvenile becomes a legal adult at the age of 18. At this age, they have the right to leave home and make their own decisions without parental consent.
Juvenile law pertains to the legal system's handling of individuals who are not yet considered adults, typically under the age of 18. It focuses on addressing delinquent behavior or misconduct by minors through a separate justice system that aims to rehabilitate rather than punish. Juvenile law also includes regulations concerning child welfare, custody, and protection.
The laws vary from state to state; if contraband is suspected then a same-sex strip search is allowable. Upon intake for processing one may be strip searched if there is suspicion of drugs, weapons or other contraband hidden on or in the body.

The short answer is yes. Even if you are a remand prisoner. Prisoners have no rights. There is, in theory, no restriction on the use or distribution of those tapes.
