If in reference to child support, only with the permission of the payee.
I belive if the child or children are 18 or older then no you can not receive child support. The age limit to which child support funds can be issued to the payee is 18 years of age after that no further child support can/ will be given by law HOWEVER you might want to look into the laws in your state about something called "back child support" wherein the mother or father must pay you for each month that child support was not given but the child must not be over 18 if so it's a lost cause but if you would like better advice try consulting a lawyer he/she can give you the true 411 on this matter.
A payee is a person who will receive the funds.

It can be requested that the child or a neutral party be named the payee of child support but will likely only be granted if it can be proven that there is a very good reason, such as the child does not actaully reside with the custodial parent, or the custodial parent is neglecting to pay for the child's care
The burden of proof is on the payee (the one receiving payments). If a support order was filed - the payee contacts the state agency to "go after" the payor. The burden will then shift to the state as they are the keeper and overseer of all payment records. They can then garnish IRS tax refunds and issue additional child support payment amounts to repay the arrearage.

If the child marries, it stops, otherwise it continues to go to the parent. A motion could be filed to transfer the payee, but by the time it got into court, the support order will have discontinued.
