The original patent expiration date for Patent Number 5,565,473 (SINGULAIR- montelukast sodium by Merck) was 30-Nov-2010 but it was extended 430 days to 03-Feb-2012. Generic forms may be expected soon after that. If you have 90 day prescriptions do not renew it after November 2011. Only do 30 day renewals until discovering if generic forms appear in February 2012.
