To my knowledge, in America the laws against price gauging or profiteering are only to protect consumers/ customers/ contractees in emergency situations, so that you can't get ripped off based on a situation-related rush-decision. For example, the water line breaks and you NEED the plumber to fix it - the plumber cannot charge you exorbitant rates, even though it might state those on the work order he made you sign before he started working.

Another law aims at usury. This only applies to interest payments, so that you cannot get charged with exorbitant interest fees. CAUTION: There are many exceptions from the base rules!!

If you sign a purchase agreement for a used towel in which you agree to pay $2,000.00 - that's your problem, you will have to pay!

What unfair laws did Germany make during the holocaust?

Some laws were completely unfair. One law was that all Jewish people must leave their doors open incase they were drinking young christian children's blood. This was completely ridicules because it is against their religion to drink blood. It is also unfair because it invaded their own right to privacy.
