Of course. If you don't think so make a visit to communist China, Russia, or other countries that are not democratic.
A democracy has the people in charge, but they need to vote, and express what they don’t like or want to change. Today only 1/3 vote which means that those who don’t leave the decisions to 1/3 of the voters.
If you had ever lived under a monarchy, you would not only understand those immigrants' motivation, you might also know how to spell it.
You may, of course, if I understand what 'push factors' are. If you mean as causes for migration, then I guess the usual: bad or scarce employment opportunities, pollution, and poor living standards.
In a direct democracy every citizen can take part in the government personally -see democracy in Athens in the 5th century BC. In practice, it means that all the people who reached the appropriate age, and have not been not deprived of political rights , can participate in the law-making process. I think, a direct type of democracy can occur in a very small community, all the other 'communities1 -countries, nations - have too many people to allow them to an assembly or parliament. most of the countries elect representatives to send them to vote for them on laws.
Free and fair elections: Regular elections that are inclusive, transparent, and allow for genuine competition among political parties. Freedom of speech and expression: Guaranteeing the right to criticize the government and express diverse viewpoints without fear of censorship or reprisal. Rule of law: Ensuring that laws are applied equally to all citizens and that there is accountability within the government. Civil liberties: Protecting individual rights such as freedom of assembly, association, and the press. Independent judiciary: Having a judiciary that is separate from the executive and legislative branches, and is able to uphold the constitution and rule on legal disputes impartially.
considering that a presidential democracy is when the power is held by an elected president you can use it like.... the citizens voted for the president because their government was a presidential democracy.
The ancient Roman architecture has influenced modern-day architecture by the reuse of columns. If you look at ancient Roman temples, many have columns around the exterior, such as the Pantheon. This is represented in the modern-day world in many buildings such as the White House, The Lincoln Museum, and many others.
appetite alone is 28x platinum, it is still selling at 5000 copies a week in the u.s alone. Chinese democracy is hard to pin down due to streaming. before the album was even pressed, the single" better " hit bill board top 40. and since all of axl's music is in copy right before it is played in public venues, recording it for streamiming is against the law. Clear Source gave it air play before the album was released. They were informed by geffen records of this. it was more than likely settled out of court, but the person that recorded the music was fined. Chinese Demacracy is selling pieces at a time. It has sold over 5 miliion, but it has been streamed much more, so now it is hard to say, how many cds are sold. the remastered greastest hits made the top 10 on bill board. I am not sure of illusions 1 and 2, both are several times platinum. I can't really blame axl rose for wanting to keep gnr going. I loved the old line up, but I really like the new guys too. I have watched them together, they play in a closer formation, I remember that slash would play so far off on the stage from the rest of the band. I see these guys having fun and playing together and no one is hot dogging to be the center of attention, and axl still show cases the guitarists and always introduces each band member with respect, even using the title Mr. Dizzy Reed, Tommy Stinson ect. I think the album will continue to sell at a slower pace. when they tour the U.S. I think it will pick up momentum. In turn all of the old gnr stuff will increase in sales. if it were left to any other gnr member, none of them would continue to make big bucks. Axl's forsight is genius. He made gnr a commodity. We all still talk about a band and their greatness after so many years apart.
