You will have to appear before the judge to find out how he/she treats that excuse. You knew (or should have known) weeks or months in advance what your training dates were. The judge may or may not consider it a valid excuse. The reason I use the word "excuse" and not "reason" is because your military obligation was NOT a secret nor did it arise suddenly.
