Why do people yreat the disabled like garbage?
Sadly, some people were just not raised right and have no morals. Nobody should ever treat a disabled person or any person like garbage.

Limited access to some buildings, because of stairs, lack of ramps, etc. Prejudice. Being treated like the person is mentally disabled even when they are only physically disabled. Often a person in a wheelchair, if shopping accompanied by a friend or family member, will find that the cashier will hand their money and receipt to the person with them, instead of to the disabled person, as if the disabled person is incapable of handling money. Some people will actually speak to the disabled person in a manner usually reserved for children, instead of treating an adult disabled person like an adult. Many disabled people are very lonely and are socially very isolated.

Sometimes, people violate a disabled person's rights to privacy or their legal rights-- like, discussing a person's medical problem in front of someone who transported the person. Often, mistreatment comes from sheer lack of awareness or sensitivity. Other times, people are just cruel or mean spirited.

They should always make them feel that they are normal just like them. This could make the disabled people not feel deprived of any facility and there is nothing abnormal about their disability.
