Copyright-protected digital materials, most notable software and websites, often have terms of use allowing users to do certain things but not others. It's basically a contractual agreement without a signature: by installing this software or using this site, you agree to these terms.
For example, the Answers.com Terms of Use are linked at the bottom of each page. In bold and all-caps, those terms begin...
BY ACCESSING, BROWSING, OR USING THE SITES AND SERVICES (AS DEFINED BELOW), YOU ARE DEEMED TO ACCEPT THE TOU, AS WELL AS OUR PRIVACY POLICY AND GENERAL DISCLAIMER (each of which is incorporated herein by reference), AS A BINDING AGREEMENT. IF YOU DO NOT WISH TO BE BOUND BY THE TOU, THE PRIVACY POLICY, OR THE GENERAL DISCLAIMER, PLEASE DO NOT ACCESS OR USE THE SERVICES (as defined below). YOUR USE OF THE SITES AND SERVICES AND INFORMATION PROVIDED THEREIN MUST IN ALL CASES COMPLY WITH ALL APPLICABLE LAWS AND REGULATIONS.
A violation of the terms of use would just be doing anything contrary to that agreement. For example, by using Answers.com, you agree not to download the database it runs off of ("You are not permitted to retrieve and store in electronic or any other form any material part of the databases underlying the Services"). Downloading the Answers.com database is a violation of the terms of use.

It depends on what the violation is.
I believe it is when you fail to follow your terms of release. Similar to a probation/parole violation. Not too sure though.
If they didn't say you could have it. That would not only be considered a violation of the Terms of Use but also it is considered theft and against the law.
I assume you mean a Violation of Parole. Parole is an early release from prison based on terms and conditions that must be abided by. Failure to meet these conditions, such as breaking the law again, would result in a violation of parole. In this case, a retake warrant would be issued for your arrest and return to prison.
