∙ 16y agoYes, its child support. If the money is not used to support the child then its being misused. Alimony would be to support you. If the father is looking after the child, then he should not be paying child support to the mother - she doesn't have the cost of looking after the child at that time. In fact, the mother may well be in a position to send chilod support to the father - it goes both ways and she is responsible for the child just as much as the father is.

Of course. Even if she is remarried the father is still the father of the children and legally responsible for their support. She should file a petition for child support in the local family court.Of course. Even if she is remarried the father is still the father of the children and legally responsible for their support. The wife and mother of the child should file a petition for divorce and child support immediately. The father will be required to provide financial support for his child. If the couple owns any property the court will see to its equitable division and perhaps allow some spousal support. She needs to consult with an attorney ASAP.The wife and mother of the child should file a petition for divorce and child support immediately. Yes. If paternity has been established the father will be required to pay child support until the child is at least eighteen.
yes
No. The courts are required to attempt to notify the father.
Yes.
Your marriage to someone who is not the father of the kids should have no effect on your right to child support from their father.
Yes, no matter where the father lives they should support their child no matter what!
No, because if they are adopted he has taken on full responsibility however if he is only living with or has only married your x then the children remain within the accepted realm of your responsibility.
It depends on the state. In most states the father would still be required to pay child support, even though he is living with the mother and the child. However, if the father was financially supporting the mother and child, it's likely that the courts would suspend the child support order.
