The theories that I came up with are:
On an article I read, it said that the doors were locked so it had to be somebody in the house. The only two people that were in the house were Bridget (the maid) and Lizzy Borden. Lizzy's sister was not in the house. Lizzy's stepmom got murdered first. After she got murdered, Lizzy's dad returned home. Lizzy told him that her stepmom was not home.
So my first theory is that Lizzy killed her parents.
It also said a few days after the murder, Bridget left and no one ever saw her again.
My second theory is that Bridget killed the parents.
No one will ever know... Only if they had lie detector tests back then and blood samples!
Borden was born in 1860, which would make her 156 years old as of 2016.
Lizzie died in the same town she had lived her entire life, Fall River MA.
Until her death in 1927, Lizzie Borden lived her entire life in Fall River Massachusetts. At the time of the murders the Bordens lived at 92 2nd St. After her aquittal Lizzie and her older sister Emma moved to 306 French St., a more fashionable neighborhood and a much larger house. As of June 1, 1927 Lizzie has resided at Oak Grove Cemetery along side her father Andrew, real mother Sarah, and sisters Emma and Alice Ester*. *Alice Ester Borden died before Lizzie was born, she was about two years old at the time of her death.
Lizzie Borden died at her home, Maplecroft, 306 French St. Fall River MA., on June 2, 1927, after a short illness. She had recently been hospitalized for gall bladder surgery, after which she developed pneumonia.
Proof she did: She burned a bloody blue dress and she was wearing a blue dress the day of murders She kept on asking Bridget(The maid) if she was going out the day on the murders She and the maid were the only two people in the house When the judge asked her the same question which was: where were you when your father came home? she changed her answer at least 10 times She didn't like her stepmother and had recently had an argument with her dad The night before the murders, she went to a neighboor and said: she thought some enemy of the dad was going to kill him soon She tried to buy poison from a Pharmacy a few days before the murder The police found no evidence of someone breaking in and killing them She didnt notice the body of her father until the minute he got killed There is a lot more proof than this My theory: A day before the murders, Lizzie Borden tried to buy a type of deadly poisoning, maybe she tried to poison her parents first, but she didnt get to buy it. So instead, She got an ax thing and whacked her parents with it. On that day, a neighboor saw her burning a bloody blue dress, which she was wearing a blue dress on the day of the murders. After she killed the parents, she changed her clothes and burned the dress. But in the trial, she denied it was blood and said it was red paint!? But after all that, how did Lizzie and Bridget not see the bodies? All the doors were wide open exept the front door. MY other theory was that Bridget and Lizzie were both into the plan! No one will ever know...
Lizze Borden was a 32 yr. old supposed killer, who killed her 64 yr. old step-mother and her 70 yr. old father. It is said that she killed her parents because she was unhappy or was discovered having a lesbian affair. It is said that we have no idea if she killed her parents because whatever she did died with her. In real life their wasn't 81 whacks as said in the song. Actually her step-mother recived 21 and her father aparrently 9. It is said all together their was 29 wacks. It is said that she was found not guilty because some men on the jury couldn't come to believe a women could commit that kind of crime.
Lizzie Borden was accused of murdering her parents, Andrew and Abby Borden, in 1892. The true motive for the murders has never been definitively proven, but theories suggest financial gain, strained family relationships, or mental health issues as potential factors. Lizzie Borden was acquitted at trial due to lack of evidence.
In life with Derek Lizzie is 11 years old.
I think 5 or 6
Sarah Morse Borden b. 1823, d. 1863, cause of death listed as uterine congestion and spinal disease. Obviously these are not terms used today for possible causes of death. There meaning is open to interpretation. It is possible that uterine congestion could have been gynological problems left over from the birth of Lizzie 2 1/2 years before. Spinal disease could possibly be arthritis. These should not be taken as fact though and are just guesswork in lue of documentation on the subject.
11 years old
Robert Laird Borden was born on June 26, 1854 and died on June 10, 1937. Robert Laird Borden would have been 82 years old at the time of death or 161 years old today.
