∙ 13y agoI believe the no contact is direct contact. Calling them or sending a personal letter. Divorce papers should come from the court and I don't think it would be considered contact. A lawyer could do it, but that costs. I think you file the papers with the court and they deliver them to the other person.

∙ 13y agoThe same way anyone else files for divorce. You have your attorney draw up the necessary papers and have them served in prison. The only difference is the location - others are served the papers at home, and his will be served in prison.

After you have done every possible effort to try to summon your spouse with the divorce papers and after this person have receive the papers on his hands and you have a receipt that proves that he was serve on jail or prison, he or she has 21 days to respond to your divorce petition. After this time has passes then you can request a court day on which you can ask the judge to please give you a divorce by default. But remember you have to make sure he was serve.
