No. It means that they are breathing, but do open the pod every hour or so to prevent it from fogging up.

The last thing is you can rub the back of 2 aliens any gender (they have to be in the pod back to back with lots of goo all around) trust me i have tries it so many times and they all worked for me if not SOS.
