untouchables
The Caste System emphasizes what jobs people had and who they married and became joint families with. IT WAS PRETTY MUCH THEIR STATUS!
Yes, caste system was byproduct of Hinduism. It was made so that society can sustain by itself & everyone does their jobs honestly.
Any jobs, there is no caste system preventing us from taking a particular job!
In the Aryan Caste System, there were five groups that you could be in. 1. Brahmins ( Priests) 2. Kshatriyas (Warriors and rulers) 3. Vaishyas (Peasants and traders) 4. Shudras (Laborers) and last, but not least, 5. The "Untouchables" The Untouchables were considered untouchables, because they did jobs that were ''polutants''. Anything to do with feces, blood, or killing anything put you directly into the Untouchables catagory. :) Have fun. (I dont find this category particulary interesting.)
They were forced to take menial jobs.
the indian caste system has 4 levels. The Brahmans (priests), the Kshatriya (warriors and landowners), the Vaishya (merchants and artists), and the Shudra (farmers). The untouchables are a group outside of the caste system, but are still considered part of it. They do all of the unwanted jobs.
In India the highest caste system and lowest caste systems are: Brahmans: priests and teachers {being the highest caste} Untouchables: the jobs no one else want to do {being the lowest}
it decided peoples jobs and where they lived. Also who they could and couldn't marry
Over time, Hinduism organized India's society into groups called castes. A caste is a social class based on a person's ancestry. Under such a system, people are born into a particular caste, which determines the jobs they can hold and whom they can marry. The Caste System still influences Indian life, although laws now forbid unfair treatment of "lower" castes.
The caste system in Hinduism divides society into four main categories: Brahmins (priests and scholars), Kshatriyas (warriors and rulers), Vaishyas (merchants and farmers), and Shudras (laborers). Beyond these four main categories are the Dalits or untouchables, who historically faced discrimination and social exclusion. While the caste system is not as rigid as it used to be, its lingering effects can still be seen in some aspects of Indian society.
Because ancient Egypt did not have a caste system. They did not believe in Hinduism and have over 3000 gods. In fact, in ancient Egypt it was easier to move through the ranks of jobs than in other ancient cultures such as ancient India or ancient China.
