What is the difference between In-house Clinical Research Associate and home based CRA?

A Clinical Research Associate can work for a company doing their research or study and that's why they are called "in house" because they work directly in the company atmosphere or at the company's office/location.
On the other hand someone who works in a "home based"position usually works on a contract basis and from their home.
Depending on the terms of your contract and the hours the company will require of you doing research for them, this kind of employment can be quite lucrutive. The only thing about doing this kind of work from home is that you wll be responsible to deduct all of your own taxes appropriately and cover the costs of any home office expense (i.e. utilities, internet access). Also working at home might seem like the best thing to do, but when all is said and done if I were given the choice I'd work within the company structure and let them handle the tax collections off your paycheck.
In the USA and Canada if you use a room in your home for business purposes, you can use that room as a tax deduction at the end of the year, including a telephone should you have on installed. A computer would also be a tax deduction and lights and heating. It all depends on you, and whether you are able to do your own taxes because Accountants aren't cheap
