According to Wikipedia, it was 16% for the 2007-2008 academic year.
If I recall correctly, the year before it was 14%, which was touted as the lowest ever and the lowest among all peer private schools. Part of the reason for that probably is because Deerfield has a rather smaller student population than other schools of similar reputation, like Exeter or Choate, and thus a smaller acceptance to applicant pool ratio. For the 2008-2009 application cycle, the overall acceptance rate was again 16%. However the rate for freshman applicants was merely 13%, and only 9% were accepted from the vast pool of international applicants. Deerfield is currently over-enrolled for 2008-2009 school year due do staggeringly high yield rates (overall-nearly 70%), and is pleased with their diverse, fresh, talented, intellectual, athletic, and truly well-rounded new group of students.
