A "simulator" test is for tube welders. The simulator simulates conditions encountered while welding water walls for a boiler. It consists of three pieces of tube with the test coupon in the center. This is a restrictive test. Restrictive means it is tight welding on each side. It is done in the 4G position, usually. A 6G simulator test would be very, very hard to accomplish successfully.
Glad I could help.

A test tube holder, also known as test tube clamp or test tube rack, is used to hold a test tube in place when the tube is hot or should not be touched. It allows safe handling of test tubes during heating or when conducting chemical reactions.
A test tube (or sample tube) has no errors.
To test an ultrasonic weld, you can perform non-destructive tests like visual inspection for any visible defects, ultrasonic testing to check for bond integrity, and pull or shear testing to measure the strength of the weld. These tests help ensure the quality and reliability of the weld.

a hard glass test tube is a test tube made out of glass that is almost impossible to break.
A test tube can be held upright using a test tube rack, a test tube holder, or a clamp attached to a stand. These tools provide stability and prevent the test tube from tipping over during experiments.
It is not recommended to place a hot test tube directly into a test tube rack as this can cause damage to both the test tube and the rack. It is advised to allow the test tube to cool down before placing it in the rack to prevent any accidents or mishaps.
another name for test tube is culture tube or sample tube
The alternative name for the germ tube test is "Reynold's test."
