They have to have the ability to work with different types of people throught the phone and email, to coordinate the logisitics of an event.The ability to work on an event coordiantion effort for several months from the initiation of the event through it's close. Have to deal with the need for backup personnel and other 'last minute' issues that may arise for an event.Last but not least enjoy working as part of a team.

Presentation - the look and feel of the event is what matters. This in turn calls for meticulous planning and execution.

Logistics - managing and co-ordinating services, supplies, banquet, security, hospitality and vendors while taking care of the technical details like sound and light projection, cooling and the smallest of details to delight and make participants feel special and comfortable - is a feat in orchestration.

Be prepared to handle any last moment mishap that may occur despite perfect co-ordination and planning.

You need: Creativity, people, business and organisational skills, patience, an eye for detail and loads of energy.

Usually an events coordinator is the one who creates, plans and implements a certain event for a client. An events coordinator is someone who is organized and someone who is really on the go with the many things that needs to be done to a certain event. An events organizer is also someone very outgoing and social who knows how to talk and be with people. Not really an extrovert but someone active in the social scene.
