Clothing needs to be modest and comfortable. It should allow for movement, getting up and down off the floor, etc. Nothing that can't be easily laundered, or that will stain easily. However, it is important to look professional. Gym clothing, or torn/stained clothing is not acceptable. Undergarments should not be visible. Flats or sneakers are appropriate for footwear.
I am only a 17 year old (soon to be) high school graduate and i feel as if as a sychologist you should dress as if your walking into an office of business. Casual with a touch formal dress is appropriate. Your job is to help others so have them take you serious by looking presentable. This is an image conscience world and i know if i were seeking help, i'd approach the mr./mrs. that's looks like they're NOT about to hit the club. Sychologist are in pretty much in a high paying class so hey, a top dollar account should give you a top dollar image! -truth be spoken
Yes you can, but I wouldn't wear bright red lipstick for an interview.
A suit would be best for an interview.

To find a childcare job opening in the San Diego area of California you could look in the local newspaper. If you have a specific place you would like to work it is best to go there and apply and hopefully interview.
