Yeah, now that's kinda silly to ask... An ophthalmologist is a doctor specialising in diagnosis and treatment of eye disorders. An optometrist merely tests the vision of a person and provides that data to the Ophthalmologist for further action...

an optitionist tests your eyes and gives you a prescription for glasses. An optitionist will refer you to an eye doctor if you have a problem. E.g. a hemirage, eye infection etc.
