I'd consider a police officer's job to be both mental and physical. Physically you might have to have good speed, endurance, etc. when you're chasing a fleeing suspect or taking down someone uncooperative, and it can be mentally taxing what with late hours, dead-end cases, some of the more gruesome things police officers are assigned to oversee etc.
Narcotics cause both mental and physical dependence.Yes
You can say "mental and physical health". You can also say "physical and mental health". So both are completely acceptable.

Wrestling is the best sport for both mental and physical toughness. In wrestling you have to know your opponents' weaknesses as well as being able to out match them in physical strength.
They both need physical and mental concentration.
The power of a police officer lies vested in his physical strength and ability. It is based on this power that he gets enrolled as a police officer. A police officer without power can in no means subdue a criminal, it is vital. Likewise, the authority of a police officer is vested in him through a governmental agency that empowers or clothes him with certain duties that can take authority of to arrest and subdue criminals. Both are very vital in performing successfully as a police officer.I hope this explanation helps.
