== == It depends where you live. I'm pretty sure you could be a groomer as early as age 16 in most places. I am a dog groomer and worked as a bather when I was 16 because I did not yet have the training to do otherwise. I have been a full time groomer since age 21. You need the right training to become a really groomer, but if you are really into it i think you can wait until you have the chance. If you cant wait until then i dont think that it was meant for you in the first place. I would say be a bather it is a pretty fun job! and if you plan to work there when you become a groomer then when you are a groomer you allready know all the people there, it sounds like a smart thing to me! From the BLS website: Most pet groomers learn their trade by completing an informal apprenticeship, usually lasting 6 to 10 weeks, under the guidance of an experienced groomer. Prospective groomers also may attend one of the 52 State-licensed grooming schools throughout the country, with programs varying in length from 2 to 18 weeks. Beginning groomers often start by taking on one duty, such as bathing and drying the pet. They eventually assume responsibility for the entire grooming process, from the initial brush-out to the final clipping.
however old you need to be, of course there are some legal basin, 12 and up is ideal, but really, it depends on how intellegent you are, you need to be bothered to get out and walk the dog, an understanding of dogs behaviour and what dogs are thinking, some maturity and knowledge of how much you are going to charge, eg.
for a good 30 min walk, i would charge £3.00, but you can work the rest out, and if I was going to have a god walker, I would need to trust them, and to be sure that my dog would be happy and relaxed to come out and walk with you, but don't get fussy when it comes to picking up the poo!
so if you are a 12 or above trustworthy, mature, freindly person with stamina and a high amount of care and intellegence for the dogs and the environment there pooing on, then I think you will be fine.
good luck!!
you have to be 8 or 9 to start a dog walking business.
u can be 13 to be a dog walker. You don't need a licence to walk a dog

It may be challenging for a 9-year-old to start a dog walking service due to safety concerns and legal regulations. However, with adult supervision and guidance, a child could assist with dog walking tasks under a parent or guardian's business.

Dog should start walking after their vaccinations and when they are 12weeks old
