it takes approximately 12 to 13 years to become a general practitioner.you have to endure 4 years of college.4 years of medical school. And 2-7 years of residency.all in all GP equals 12 to 13 years of schooling. so if this is something you really want to do and you have the brains for it. go for it don't let anything hold you back.
