After I finish the puzzle I place something firm on top and flip it so the back is showing. (I always put it together on a board) Then I squeeze the Elmer's glue in long stripes across each row of pieces, making sure to get glue on each piece. I have used a paint brush to brush it on allowing more coverage, but don't usually do this. Since the pieces are small a little glue holds fine. Then I place some heavy books over the entire surface and wait about 24 hours and it is dry.
I usually mount mine on poster board and leave a border so I can put the date I completed it at the bottom.
**Be sure to put waxed paper underneath before gluing because it can seep through the edges of the pieces.**
Most glue is an adhesive such as Elmers school glue, puzzle glue, and wood glue

Put a puzzle together and get a piece of cardboard just a little bit bigger/smaller OR cut a piece the same size. Glue the puzzle pieces on in this order: corners and edges first, then the next row from the outside, the next row and the next until you get to the middle. make sure it is all securely glued dowm. MAKE SURE THE PUZZLE IS SOLVED RIGHT!!!

Elmer's glue is like the glue that holds a puzzle together, it creates a strong bond between pieces to keep them connected. Just like how Elmer's glue keeps things stuck together, the puzzle glue keeps the puzzle intact.
elmers white glue works best! brush onto both halves, put together and secure with tape or rubber bands.
