Making your nose look smaller and shorter is simple with clever application of bronzer or contouring powder. I like to use a pressed powder contour using one color that is two shades darker than my skin (my shadow color) and one that is two shades lighter than my skin (my highlight color).
To begin, study the natural contours of your nose. Which parts appear darker and set deeper? Which parts appear lighter and raised? You will always follow your natural lines when applying makeup.
In this case, we can typically see a shadow on either side of the nose beginning at the bridge and continuing straight down to the tip. Applying some shadow color with a very light hand and a small contour brush (I liked to use one that is angled) we trace this shadow following the straight line. This makes the nose appear thinner.
To give even more of this effect, apply just a hint of shadow color in a V at the tip of your nose, just before the nostrils. This will make your nose look shorter.
Apply a bit of highlight in a stripe along the center of your nose for some definition.
Make sure everything is well blended with a clean contour brush.
To eliminate natural redness and add to the thin appearance of your nose, use a small amount of creamy concealer (concealer should always be two shades lighter than the skin) on either side of your nose at the base where your nostrils flare out. It should not touch your nose itself, but rather just outside of your nose.
For a visual demonstration of this process, there is a very helpful video found on YouTube by Kandee Johnson. It is called "Plastic Surgery with Makeup: Slenderizing the Nose". Don't worry. The title is a little bit scary, but it's easy enough for a beginner to understand and it isn't as extreme as it sounds.
I hope this has helped you! =]

There will be more shape than an Asian skull and less shape than an African skull. African skulls will have a more prominent forehead, wider nose and an more prominent chin.
Why would you ever want to smoke through your mouth much less your nose. Your teeth are already leaving you now do you want your since of smell going too?
You can put your nose in a book, but you already have snot in your nose...hahaha!
A pointed nose is less wind resistant.
Plastic surgery or you can make the appearance of a slimmer nose with make-up. But a symmetrical nose is not in anyway necessarily a more attractive nose.
Yes, the bridge of the nose does. I read in a magazine when I was pregnant that the reason this happens is because of the demand for oxygen during labor. You can breathe in more oxygen due to the wider bridge and it is needed for the mother and child during labor. Now I read that in a pregnancy magazine so...

A nose piercing can make your nose stand out.
No. Think about it-if you already had a genetic nasal bump, then breaking your nose won't make it any better. Please don't try this at home. If your nose does get broken, then find a professional immediately who can pop the bone back in place. Don't try to do it yourself unless you absolutely know how to.
