Personally, I have never been made aware of an associate of arts in nursing. Now, there may be a possibility that some school decides to do a curriculum layout which leaves out the professional phase courses and includes the prerequisite courses needed for transfer to a four year college or university. Still ,I have not seen this. If your intention is to work out in the field after completion of the associates, then make sure it is the associates in science (AS).
