Japanese beetles are very bad for a garden. They eat plants quickly, but multiply even quicker. They may seem harmless at first, but then when they infest your yard, they might be a problem. They are called scarabs or scarab beetles, and they can put massive holes in your garden's leaves in almost 2 weeks or less, depending on how you handle the situation. The only way to really get rid of them, is to buy a Japanese beetle trap. It draws them over with the sweet scent, then traps them in a plastic container which they can't get out.
