The female tarantula lays eggs, which hatch out into tiny spiderlings.
Female tarantulas vary in size, ranging from 5 inches to as big as 8 inches. Sometimes, though, you will find big tarantulas that are half the size of your arm.
Female tarantulas reach breeding age at around two years old.
NO. Male tarantulas make a nice, light snack for a female.
Female Tarantulas are completely harmless to humans, in fact quite friendly to humans. They bite the male tarantulas harshly and their bite causes the male to suffer. Males are harmless to humans also.
Some female Tarantulas can live up to 25 years, while males can sometimes live up to 10 years.
One of the tarantula's deadliest enemies is the Pompilidae wasp, also known as the "tarantula hawk." The female wasp paralyzes the tarantula and lays eggs on it, which then hatch and feed on the still-living spider. Additionally, some birds, snakes, and mammals are also known to prey on tarantulas.
It is not recommended for two tarantulas to live together as they are solitary animals and may become aggressive towards each other, leading to injury or death. It is best to keep tarantulas separate to ensure their well-being.
Tarantula's actually are not poisonous to humans unless you area allergic to their bites, they are poisonous but tarantula bites are comparabe to bee stings unless you are allergic to the bites. Black Widows however are very poisonous and their bites can kill humans.
yes they do
No, not in a home environment. I have had 4 different tarantulas at different times in aquariums at home and still have had spiders show up in my house. They will kill another tarantula if you put them together. After mating the female kills the male. To have a tarantula at home it needs to be in an enclosed environment with water, a place to hide, and kept at a consistent temperature inside the aquarium, so a tarantula can't be loose in a house.
Tarantulas have very few natural enemies other than humans. Its only real natural enemy is an insect known as the spider wasp. One of the types of the spider wasp is the The Tarantula Hawk or Tarantula Killer (Pepsis wasps) giant wasp. The wasp finds the tarantula by using olfactory or the sense of smell. The wasp stings the tarantula, which paralyzes it, then the wasp lays an egg on its abdomen and then buries it in the tarantulas burrow. When the egg hatches the tarantula is used as a living food source by the wasp grub.
