Mosquitoes have two sets of wings. The second pair look like peg structures called halteres. Mating of these insects usually happens while they are in flight although it may happen in land as well. Female mosquitoes attract the males by the tone of the female wing beat. They like to feed on sweet food like nectar and fruit while the females of other species like blood.
