Drone Bees are Males. Queen Bees are females. During the mating flight, Drones from one or more hives deposit sperm inside the queen. When the Queen Bee lays her eggs, she may allow one sperm to enter the egg and fertilize it. That will create a female bee. If she does not allow a sperm to enter the egg, it will be asexual reproduction. It will produce a Drone, or male bee. In spite of the fact that the Queen Bee had sex, Drones, or male bees are produced without sex, or asexually.
In addition, if something happens to the queen and she dies or disappears, the worker bees can lay eggs. They never had sexual contact. All the eggs they lay will turn into Drones. The bees can feed pollen to several of the developing bees and turn them into Queen Bees. One of them kills the rest and then mates with the drones produced from the eggs laid by the workers.
Eukaryotic cells (eukaryotes) use mitosis to reproduce asexually.
asexually and sexually
Blue marlins reproduce sexually, with females releasing eggs and males releasing sperm into the water for external fertilization to occur. They do not reproduce asexually.
Some can. Generally the reproduce faster - until they use up their environment (or get infected) and then they die off.
Protists can reproduce sexually or asexually, depending on the species. Asexual reproduction methods include binary fission, multiple fission, and budding. Sexual reproduction typically involves the fusion of gametes from two different individuals.
Like most other plants and fungi, they reproduce asexually.
they do not use up any energy finding mates.
I presume you mean does it use asexual reproduction. Cacti are flowering plants which reproduce sexually.
The mayana plants reproduce asexually. This is a process through which new plants are made from a single mayana plant and mostly use their roots for reproduction.
Organisms in the phylum chordata reproduce sexually, with internal fertilization being common. In the phylum arthropoda, organisms reproduce through both sexual and asexual means, depending on the species. Organisms in the phylum mollusca reproduce sexually, with most species having separate sexes.
An organism could use processes like binary fission, budding, or fragmentation to reproduce asexually. These processes involve the splitting or budding off of a parent organism to produce genetically identical offspring.
