Garlic. Mosquitoes have sensory indicators to detect desirable blood, which is exposed through your sweat glands. They are attracted to "sweet" blood. Garlic is a very good substance to "odorize" your sweat that will deter mosquitoes away from you because garlic will secrete through your glands and blanket the sweet smell of your blood. To the human nose, it scentless.

This is why you may be getting bit by mosquitoes a hundred times and the person right next to you doesn't get bit once. Some people produce the odor naturally.

Other tips to deter mosquitoes:

- Limit foods or drinks that will sweeten your blood (i.e., alcohol)

- Take Vitamin B-1

- Stay away from still standing water

- Use deet or citronella products

- Waft or swipe mosquitoes off, don't slap them on your skin.

- Avoid scented/perfumed products (i.e., lotions, cologne, hairspray, soaps, etc.)

TAKE VITAMIN B1 - If you take a 100mg vitamin B1 everyday throughout the mosquito season, the mosquitos will not bite you. There is an undetectable scent that the B1 sends through your pores. The mosquitos do not like it and they will not bite you. Take vitamin B1 every day April through October.

Step 2

GARLIC - You can take a garlic supplement, eat foods with garlic, eat garlic or crack it and rub it on your body. Garlic turns mosquitos away.

Step 3

TEA TREE OIL - Mix one part water with two parts tea tree oil and put it in a spray bottle. Spray on all areas of skin that are exposed. For your face, spray it on your hand first and then apply it to your face.

Step 4

PLANT MARIGOLDS - Plant a lot of marigolds around your yard. Mosquitos hate the smell of marigolds.

Step 5

CITRONELLA - You can rub citronella oil on your body or burn citronella candles to keep mosquitos away.
