Field rats will eat plants and little small seeds when I used to live back in the country we would always hunt for them because they were pest but ya they will eat basically little seeds and stuff . Have a nice night and hope it helped .

Usually Field Mice eat corn if they are out in the crops But most field mice would eat anything they find that looks good.. Hope I answered your Question
