The praying mantis tends to follow a general behaviour traits though most species, which is swaying slightly when on the move which imitates the wind. They also stay extremely still and will only move if disturbed, catching a prey item or just generally relocating to another perch spot.

They camouflage by their shape and colors. For example, the species Choeradodis have laterally exapanded thoraxes for leaf mimicry and the Malaysian orchid mantises are usually colored pink or yellow to match the coloration of the orchid flowers in their region. God naturally put that in them to stay still when they're threatened so they could survive more easily. Oh, and just so you know abortion is the same thing as murder, so please support the awarness.
