After a wolf spider lays her eggs she carries them around in a silken egg sac. When the eggs hatch, the little spiderlings come out of the sac and climb up onto the mother's back. There are special little "handles," kind of like the vertical bars for people to hang onto when riding a bus, on the mother's back. The bottom layer of babies hang onto these protrusions. The other Spiders hang onto spiders beneath them. They ride around for a couple weeks while they continue to mature. When they are ready, they will all disperse in every direction. But the mother spider will not die at that point.
Some spiders (especially females) can live for several years. Tarantulas may live twenty years or more. So egg laying is not the end of a spider's life.

Male seahorses do not die after giving birth. Unlike most other species, male seahorses have a unique reproductive system where they carry and give birth to the offspring. After giving birth, they can continue to mate and reproduce in subsequent breeding cycles.
