Jellyfish actually do defecate --- Jellyfish have a one-way in-take and excretion system. This means they eat, digest, then poop out of the same hole. They do defecate because the food they intake cannot all be converted into liquid form. As my Biology teacher called it, they have a "potty-mouth"
