Leeches eat blood.
Most leeches will eat an entire earthworm whole! But they ALL have a passion for blood. I'm not recommending it, but you can take your pet leech and let him leech of you, your dog/cat/hamster/whatever for about 20 minutes until he/she gets full. They only consume a few cc's of blood, but you have to be careful as they may be carrying diseases...
Leeches drink the host's blood.
No, unless they carry a disease. Leeches just suck your blood it it reaches your skin.

A leech that feeds on blood is simply called a "bloodsucking leech."
No. The usual garden slugs eat vegetation. Leeches, on the other hand, do suck blood, and they look a lot like slugs
Birds and moles that are immune to this and cannot be internally harmed by the leeches. Also, some fish may be immune to the leeches too, so they would also be able to eat them.
Leeches suck blood and it was believed that leeches would actually suck the bad blood\diseased blood out of your body. Today leeches are used after reattachment of body parts, particularly fingers and toes. The leeches relieve the congestion of blood in the affected parts. The leeches also put a chemical into the blood in the area of the attachment that prevents blood from clotting.
No leeches are definitely not Mammals. Leeches are annelids comprising the subclass Hirudinea. There are fresh water, terrestrial, and marine leeches. Like the Oligochaeta, they share the presence of a clitellum. Like earthworms, leeches are hermaphrodites. Some, but not all leeches feed on blood. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leeches
