The US's rejection of the treaty caused many countries to withdraw from the League of Nations. The League of Nations late proved ineffective and was disbanded as the UN was formed in its place.

They formed treaties and pacts.In addition many formed the League of Nations and the United Nations, neither of which were very successful.
The League of Nations later turned into the United Nations. So basically the entire U.N. is the League of Nations. This originally consisted of 58 nations, and since I do not want to list them all, then just look up "League of Nations original members" on Bing.
One of the Allied countries who did not join the League of Nations was the United States. Hope this helps, but this may not be the complete answer!

The United Nations predecessor organization was the League of Nations which was founded at the end of WW1 as a result of the Treaty of Versailles and managed to attract at its best the participation of 58 countries during 24 September 1934 and 23 February 1935.
