Yes, a nerve that is cut during surgery will eventually heal.
Are you trying to heal or inflict nerve damage?
As unfortunate as this may sound, nerves do not heal. Nor do they regenerate. If you've suffered an injury that's caused nerve damage, that damage will not heal or regenerate.
Microdiscectomy is a surgery used to release the nervers swollen, by removing a part of the bone pressing the nerve, this way giving the nerve a small space to heal properly, this surgery is used in the lower back, but works better when used on the knee.
Yes it will heal completely after surgery
In many cases, permanent nerve damage cannot be fully cured. However, treatments such as physical therapy, pain management, and medications can help manage symptoms and improve quality of life. In some cases, surgery or nerve stimulation techniques may be considered to help alleviate symptoms.
Go to the vet. Prognosis depends on the severity of the damage. See here for further info: http://www.peteducation.com/article.cfm?c=0+1321&aid=3539
Nerve cells are different from other cells. In other cells they have a cell wall cell membrane nucleus lisozomes etc. but nerve cells dont have the information nor the ability to heal as well as normal cells do. it all depends on the extent of the damage
Depends on what kind of nerve damage and how severe is it If it is partial motor nerve then you feel weakness Total loss of motor nerve then you cant move that muscle and it will have no muscle tone if it is sensory nerve then you will have altered sensations total loss of sensory nerve then you wont feel a thing ...
Yes, there is a surgical procedure called a nerve repair for repairing a cut nerve in the finger. This procedure aims to reconnect the two ends of the nerve so that it can heal and restore proper function to the finger. It is important to consult with a hand surgeon or a specialist in nerve injuries for an accurate assessment and appropriate treatment plan.
no it will not heal itself. The tissue has been opened due to damage and with that surgery is required to help repair it. (I should know due to having a small one repaired 5 times, it was 6 months before the first surgery was performed and my fistula had not even attemped to close on its own)
If the surgery was a "nerve sparing" prostatectomy, erection should start recurring withen 3 months to a year. The nerves were traumatized and require time to heal. If the nerves were severed during surgery, erection cannot and will not be acheived normally post surgery.
