Lady Jane Grey, as you may already know, became queen after a request of Edward I on his death bed instead of the late king's half sisters. This didn't go down well (as you can imagine) and so after a meagre nine days of ruling England, Lady Jane was executed at the Tower of London upon the orders of Mary I.
Mary then succeeded her and after Mary came Elizabeth I (the last Tudor Monarch).
If you mean who took the throne of England after Henry VII, it was his son the famous Henry VIII.
Yes, she was. Elizabeth of York was married to Henry VII, and they had several children, one of which was Henry VIII, who took over from his father, when his elder brother, Arthur, died before he could take the throne. He also took Arthur's wife, Catherine of Aragon, with whom Henry had one child, Mary I.
Henry became Prince of Wales and the heir to the throne. He was kept close to his father from then until he took the throne. Soon after his father died he chose to marry Catherine of Aragon, Arthur's widow.
Four members of the Tudor family took the throne. They were Henry VIII (1509-1547), Edward VI (1547-1553), Mary (1553-1558), and Elizabeth (1558-1693). After Elizabeth's reign, the Stuarts gained control of the throne.
Before Henry VIII, his dad, Henry VII, also used to be king marrying someone, I dunno who,(sorry I don't no much!) then henry 8 took over following and succeeding the death of his farther. bye!
Queen Elizabeth I Elizabeth I was the daughter of King Henry VIII and his second wife, Anne Boleyn. When Henry VIII died in January 1547, the throne was inherited by Elizabeth's half brother, Edward, who became King Edward VI. Edward was the son of Henry VIII and his third wife, Jane Seymour. Although he was the youngest of Henry VIII's three legitimate children, Edward took precedence because he was male. Edward VI died on 6th July 1553. He had provided in his will that his cousin, Lady Jane Grey, would succeed him, but Jane was deposed by Henry VIII's oldest daughter, Mary. Mary was the daughter of King Henry VIII and his first wife, Catherine of Aragon and she reigned as Queen Mary I until her death on 17th November 1558. On Queen Mary's death Henry VIII's remaining child became Queen Elizabeth I and she reigned until her death on 24th March 1603.
There were two Henry Tudors. The first, Henry VII, began his reign in 1485 after the defeat of King Richard III at Bosworth Field. Henry vll son, Henry VIII, began his reign in 1509 upon the death of his father. When his father had DIED Henry's son took Henry's place
Henry the 9
After Henry's death, Edward was only 9. He could not rule legally at that age and had to wait until he was 18. At 15, he became very ill and died. Therefore, he never legally took the throne In his Act of Succession, he left his cousin Lady Jane Grey as Queen. She ruled for 9 days. Mary I then took the throne from her and had her beheaded.
The British succession from Henry VIII to the present involves several significant changes. After Henry VIII, his son Edward VI took the throne, followed by Mary I, and then Elizabeth I. James VI of Scotland became James I of England, establishing the Stuart dynasty. Later, William and Mary jointly ruled, followed by the Hanoverians, of which Queen Victoria was a prominent figure. The current monarch, Queen Elizabeth II, ascended to the throne in 1952.
