After Germany invaded Russia, Stalin joined the Allies (formally known among themsleves as the United Nations). This group expanded over the course of the war, but included Great Britain (and all British colonies and commonwealth nations), the United States, China, Greece, France, Poland, Belgium, Holland, Yugoslavia, and several smaller powers. In general, the term "Allies" was used to refer to the so-called "Big Three" nations - The U.K., America and the Soviet Union. Other nations were granted the status of "Co-belligerent" but not full allies. Examples are Hungary, Italy (after its surrender), Turkey, Persia (Iran) and Iraq.

Joseph Stalin's allies were: Adolf Hitler - They signed an agreement called The Nazi-Soviet Pact. But he was betrayed by Hitler because Hitler used Blitzkrieg (Lightning War) to eliminate millions of innocent Russians. Winston Churchill - After the betrayal, Stalin joined sides with America and Britain against Germany in World War 2. "The Big Three", President Roosevelt, Joseph Stalin and Winston Churchill decided on Germany's fate. Enemies President Roosevelt - Stalin didn't like Roosevelt because Russia is a Communist country and USA are a Capitalist country. They had to work together though to stop Germany and Hitler. President Truman - Truman replaced Roosevelt as President of USA after his death from an illness. Stalin wanted to expand Communism around Europe but Truman stopped him.

Stalin didnt have many friends because he killed most of his allies that helped him get to power but some of his direct friends were Vladimir Lenin and Vyacheslav Molotov. Molotov was Stalins right hand man. Some other people that probably werent his real friends but used the same methods were Hitler and Mussolini.
