... I'm quite sure you meant Albert Einstein... he became US citizen in 1940, was born in Germany 1879... He had to leave Germany as a Jew as Hitler was going to lead the country at that time. Albert Einstein studied at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH), Switzerland... then prepared a short résumé of his discoveries to get access at the University of Berne (still Switzerland) - he then got the Nobel Prize for this very résumé... if I'm not wrong. But I'm quite sure he never really was Swiss citizen... he had residence permission and became some citizen of honor of Berne or something... Vic
