He was the 4th son. He died before Victoria saw her 1st birthday.
The Duke of Kent's two older brothers George, Prince of Wales(later George IV) and William, Duke of Clarence(later William IV) would rule before Victoria. Frederick, Duke of York the second oldest brother died in 1827. Ernst, Duke of Cumberland became a ruler in Germany.
