Well i don't think Gurkhas were at Normandy because it was an American mission.but i did hear stories about Gurkhas fighting Germans and were praised by Adolf Hitler for bravery.But yes they were fighting Japanese in Burma too n i know it cuz i know an old folk from my town in Nepal who beheaded 11 Japanese soldiers with his Khukuri(sword) after he ran out of ammo n also won a Victoria cross for that.
