White blood cells, or leukocytes, lack hemoglobin. Each white blood cell type is named according to its appearance in stained preparations. Those containing large cytoplasmic granules are granulocytes and those with very small granules that cannot be easily seen are agranulocytes.
There are three kinds of granulocytes: neutrophils, basophils, and eosinophils. Neutrophils are the most common type of white blood cells. Neutrophils also secrete a class of enzymes called lysozymes which are capable of destroying certain bacteria.
Agranulocytes are also called lymphocytes and are involved in immunity.
White blood cells are often referred to as "warriors of the body" due to their role in protecting the body against infections and harmful invaders.
Different species of rabbit have different scientific names, and there are many different species of white rabbits. All domesticated rabbits (including white rabbits) are European Rabbits, and their scientific name is Oryctolagus cuniculas.
Scientific names of jute are as follows: - for white jute = corchorus capsularis - for tossa jute = corchorus olitorius
The proper scientific name for egg white is albumen. It is the clear liquid found inside the egg shell and serves to protect the yolk and provide nutrients for the developing embryo.
Leukaemia is the scientific name of the condition. The non-scientific name is simply "cancer".There are four types of leukaemia.Acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. This is the most common that occurs in children.Acute myelogenous leukaemia. This is most common in adults rather than children.Chronic lymphocytic leukaemia. Mostly common in over 55's. Can occur in younger adults. Extremely rare in children.Chronic myelogenous leukaemia. Mostly occurs in adults. Rare for children to get this.
The scientific name for white blood cells is leukocytes.

white blood cells
The four main components found in blood are red blood cells (erythrocytes), white blood cells (leukocytes), platelets (thrombocytes), and plasma.
The two primary cells in blood are the red blood cells (erythrocytes) and the white blood cells (Leukocytes). Platelets (Thrombocytes) are a third kind of blood cell.
Erythrocytes; abbreviated RBC's. The scientific name for red blood cells is Erythrocytes. {I'm 13 and I know this}: Red blood cells = Erythrocytes; White blood cells = Leukocytes; Platelets = Thrombocytes; and Plasma = Plasma - there are several types.
The white blood cells
Red blood cells contain hemoglobin, but white blood cells do not
The cells in the bloodstream include red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. Red blood cells carry oxygen to tissues, white blood cells help fight infections, and platelets aid in blood clotting.
