How can you write a scientific name when hand writing?

When hand writing a scientific name, you capitalize the Genus name and the species name is a separate word written in lowercase. Both names should be underlined, but the underline should be broken between the two names.

First time you write it you should use the full name, for example canis lupus and when referring to afterward can shorten to just c. lupus and the italic font just looks nice.

As per International Code of Nomenclature it is binomial system having name of the genus first starting with a capital letter and afterwards the species written in small letters. The hand written script is underlined and if printed it is in italic letters. For example Pisum sativum.
