The services engineer is responsible for all electrical/mechanical/services works for the project. This includes the gas, water, waste water, electrics, heating, ventilation, air conditioning and lifts etc.
They should be looking to design a cost efficient, environmentally friendly system that fits in with the brief of the client. As with all of the design team members they must frequently liaise with the architect and other members of the design team as necessary. They must make sure that their system meets health and safety requirements. They may also sub-let a section of their work to a specialist firm, e.g. for lifts and escalators etc.

the role of the contractor is quite obvious because the project can not be accomplished without a contractor.it is the only contractor who can execute the operation of the project and bring it to end.
In general, architects design buildings. Many (if not all) of these architects are actually architechual engineers (they have a degree in AE). Engineer is a more general title than AE. Not all products or services are created by AEs, though. And not all products and services are created by engineers.
