No, mongooses mostly eat insects, occasionally small birds and reptiles. A mongoose would keep well clear of a cat of any age. Still, I wouldn't suggest keeping a mongoose as a pet. They are highly social animals and will not do well away from their troop.

Mongooses are small mammals that hunt prey such as insects and small vertebrates. Hyenas are far larger than mongooses, and a mongoose could never kill or eat a hyena. However, hyenas would eat a mongoose.

I imagine so. Mongoose will eat dangerous snakes such as cobras, so a non venemous kingsnake should be an easy meal for a mongoose.
